The Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria yesterday urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to overstretch himself, saying Nigeria needs him to complete the good work he has started.

The church made the call during a courtesy call to the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Leader of the delegation, His Most Eminence, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao said the president has performed well in the fight against corruption, and insurgency.

“To appreciate the works and feats performed thus far and to assure His Excellency of our continued prayer and support, especially on his anti-corruption stance. We anticipate that corruption which is killing Nigeria may fight back, but His Excellency will prevail because the majority of Nigerians are with you,” he said.

The church asked the President to use his good office to ensure the release of Leah Sharibu, being held captive by Boko Haram for refusing to renounce her faith.

Responding, the president commended the group for upholding the administration and the government in prayers, particularly as the general elections approach.
